Description

Speedwell was a 60-tonne pinnace that transported pilgrims from England to the New World in the early 17th Century, along with the Mayflower. Speedwell was the smaller of the two ships, and in fact a ship of the same name and size actually travelled to America 17 years before, as the flagship of the first expedition of Martin Pring.

This model measures in at 28 centimetres in length, 11.5 centimetres in width, and 23 centimetres in height, excluding the base, should you choose to have one. The rigging and sails are the standouts of this model, both being highly intricate. The plain white bottom of the ship nicely contrasts the wooden hull, giving the model a crisper aesthetic. It’s an excellent counterpart and makes for a wonderful piece of decoration.
