Description
The Sirius was a trawler used by Tintin, in the fictional story ‘The Adventures of Tintin.” It was named after the SS Sirius, which was the first ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean only using steam power. Visually, it is based off of the John-0.88, a trawler launched in 1936. This sunk in 1941 after being attacked by German fighter planes.
This excellent model replica pays homage to the stories and the fictional characters, as well as the real-life boats this vessel is based off of. It is complete with intricate rigging and decking, as well as a blue and red hull for extra detail. It measures in at 74 centimetres in length, 25 centimetres in width and 43 centimetres in height.
